Usage procedure
Preparation 
Ensure that the cuff fits the length of the neonate's upper arm and is approximately 2/3 of the width of the upper arm. 
Keep the room quiet to avoid the neonate crying, and measurements can be taken when he or she is quiet or asleep.
Position the cuff 
The newborn lies flat so that the upper arm is in line with the level of the heart.
Wrap the cuff around the upper arm with the lower edge 2-3 cm above the elbow socket, making sure that the air bag is positioned over the brachial artery 
Tighten the cuff just enough to fit one finger 
Measurement of blood pressure 
Using a suitable sphygmomanometer, inflate rapidly until the radial artery pulsation has disappeared, and then pressurise by 30 mm Hg 
Deflate slowly, noting the first pulse beat heard by the stethoscope (systolic blood pressure) and a sudden weakening or disappearance of the sound (diastolic blood pressure).
Take results 
Record readings of systolic and diastolic blood pressure; normal systolic blood pressure in newborns is 50-60 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure is 30-40 mmHg 
Dispose of after use 
Dispose of the disposable cuffs in an appropriate medical waste container after use
